Opportunities for Spiritual Growth
Centering Prayer ~ We gather every Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. in person in the sanctuary and via Zoom. We are reading from New Seeds of Contemplation by Thomas Merton. and then joining In Centering Prayer for 20 minutes. All are invited to be a part of this group as we experience and explore the contemplative prayer practice of Centering Prayer. No experience necessary! Contemplative prayer is especially helpful in these uncertain times. All are always welcome! Please email us for the Zoom information.
Living Gracefully ~ This group is a book study group of women that meets weekly via Zoom. Begun in 2018, they will start THE THURSDAY NIGHT MURDER CLUB in May. All women are invited to be a part of this group!
Bible Study~ This group is currently suspended due to construction.
Adult Christian Education ~
Stewardship of Creation – Cathy Crosby and Fr. Bill will begin this three-part series on Sunday, September 14. In this series we will explore the theology of creation-care, some ways that we might better care for this earth and the life it provides and hear from some folks who directly engage in nurturing and caring for God’s beloved creatures. THIS SUNDAY... we will engage in "Terra Divina", a variation on "Lectio Divina." Rather than reading and rereading a scripture passage with different intentions each time, we will go outside and "read, then reread the book of God's creation", focusing our prayerful attention on a small piece of nature in our gardens or somewhere in the green space across from the church. Join us at 11:00 in the Conference Room.
Saturday Bible Study – every week we will explore the weekend’s lectionary readings, digging into the context, background, and meaning of the words that we hear in our Saturday and Sunday worship. Class is from 3:30-4:30 in the Conference Room.
As always, all are invited and encouraged to participate!!!
