We are reading from New Seeds of Contemplation by Thomas Merton. and then joining In Centering Prayer for 20 minutes. All are invited to be a part of this group as we experience and explore the contemplative prayer practice of Centering Prayer. No experience necessary! Contemplative prayer is especially helpful in these uncertain times. All are always welcome! Please email us for the Zoom information.

Reading Sacred Scripture Through Another Lens
Familiar stories of the bible can often reveal something new to us; something we never heard or realized before, as our life experiences continue to shape our understanding of God and of our place in God’s dream for humanity. And yet, we are formed by family, cultural, geographic and social influences which create a lens for seeing and serving. We’ll gather for two Sundays, March 15 and 22, to read through another lens and ask questions of scriptural stories: Who is speaking? Who is acting? Where are the women, the unnamed, what are they doing? What are the power dynamics in the narrative? Who are the dominant characters and why are they dominant? Where is God in the text? And more.
